Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program
Skilled Workers:
Business: Skilled workers who have a pre-approved job offer by the MPNP or who have been working full-time in Manitoba on a work permit and have a full-time job offer can apply for MPNP. Applicants must have the training, work experience, language ability, licensing/accreditation (if applicable) required for the position. International students who have graduated from a post-secondary educational institute in Manitoba and have a full-time job offer related to their field of study in Manitoba can apply for MPNP. They need to have applied for a post-graduation work permit, however, a job offer does not have to be pre-approved by the MPNP. Applicants who have a close relative (parent, child, sibling, grandparent, aunt/uncle, niece/nephew or first cousin) who can provide an Affidavit of Support form may qualify to apply for MPNP. Applicants need to be in between the age of 21 and 49, have completed a minimum of an 1-year post-secondary education/training with a diploma/certificate/degree, have a minimum of 2 years of work experience in a non-restricted occupation in the last 5 years (or be currently employed in Manitoba), have moderate proficiency in English or French, and have enough funds to settle in Manitoba. Their training and work experience need to be related to their applied occupation. Applicants who have a Letter of Support form a Community Support Agreement holder may qualify to apply for MPNP. Applicants need to be in between the age of 21 and 49, have completed a minimum of an 1-year post-secondary education/training with a diploma/certificate/degree, have a minimum of 2 years of work experience in a non-restricted occupation in the last 5 years (or be currently employed in Manitoba), have moderate proficiency in English or French, and have enough funds to settle in Manitoba. Their training and work experience need to be related to their applied occupation. Applicants who have a close relative (parent, child, sibling, grandparent, aunt/uncle, niece/nephew or first cousin), can provide two Affidavit of Support forms from close friends or distant relatives, have at least 6 months of full-time work experience, or have completed an educational program (not including language training programs) in Manitoba can apply for MPNP. The assessment is partly based on the points system set by MPNP. The points are based on your age, education, work experience, language ability, and adaptability and you must score at least 55 points to be considered for MPNP. Entrepreneurs or senior business managers who have a plan to establish a business in Manitoba may qualify for MPNP. Manitoba's key sectors are manufacturing, food processing, information technology/communication, mining, fishing, farming, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and energy.
